I Can't Believe It's May Already!
Man, April was a busy month! I miss my free time.

But at least I'll have more free time soon, unless my luck improves. I'm hunting for a summer job. I'm hoping to land a technician job somewhere, but because I really only want temporary work, I don't qualify for most of the offers. *sigh* At least I'll have lots of free time if that doesn't pan out.

I got a perma for FFXI so that I can finish the Chains of Promathia missions. It's going as well as can be expected -- there's lots of hassles when trying to coordinate with six people, and I have the deepest respect for our fearless leader, who is taking that upon himself. Hopefully, I'll have that whole set finished in a month or so.

Aaaand, going into my final few weeks of classes, projects, and exams before the summer. I'm looking forward to when the semester's over.

My link for today is to a recipe for makowiec (aka, Poppyseed roll).

Words cannot express how much I love this food. The best way I can put it: If I could only have either this OR all forms of chocolate for the remainder of my life, I would choose makowiec. It's that good. It's my heroin, but not really, although I'm sure one does test positive for heroin if they each too much of it since it is full of poppyseeds.

I'm going to attempt to make this once I have all the ingredients and a free day.

I also found this very interesting Encyclopedia of the Earth on my online travels. Looks very useful. What can I say? I'm an environmental nut.

PRiS fic is done and being beta'ed. This makes me happy, as I was getting to the point where I was ready to write down anything on the paper just to say that I finished it.

So that's...15k words in 3 months. A new record! XD

Now I gotta revise it.

Teaser omg of a random scene:

Andros stormed into the Megaship's infirmary, keying the door shut and locking it with his personal code. He ignored Alpha's pleas as the android knocked on the door, calling him.

“Andros, what happened? Who attacked you? Oooh, that cut looks nasty! Please let me help you! I'm trained in first aid--”

“I'm fine.” He yanked open a drawer, hissing as he realized that he'd used the wrong arm, before methodically removing various bandages and supplies for treating wounds from a first aid kit.

“Ohh, I hate teenagers!” Alpha cursed. Andros heard his metallic feet stomp in anger.

He pulled his shirt off and sat on the medical bed with his supplies and set about treating the wound, wincing as the disinfectant stung his skin. When it was down to a dull ache, he tossed the bloody compress aside and tried to wrap a bandage around it. It was harder than he thought it would be; he couldn't keep enough pressure on the bandage to keep it from sagging without just one hand.

Alpha chuckled knowingly. “Having trouble with the bandage, eh?”

The Red Ranger shut his eyes, forcing down several colourful curse words in various languages to describe irritating, all-knowing androids. Without answering, he slid off the bed, unlocked the door, and returned to the bed. He tried not to acknowledge Alpha any more than he had to as the android examined Andros' cut for himself before binding the wound. He had a feeling that if Alpha's face was capable of displaying emotion, he would have an “I told you so” expression right now.

“Human teenagers. They're always so unpredictable,” Alpha muttered to himself, tugging on the bandage that was now firmly wrapped around Andros' shoulder. Andros grunted as Alpha adjusted it. “Sorry.”

Alpha was spoiled by how wholesome and nauseatingly good his first batch of teenagers were.

I LOL at Andros and his failed petulance. ^__^

I still remember how upset Alpha was about the whole teenagers thing on the first episode.

"No Zordon! Not teenagers!"

I LOL at Andros and his failed petulance. ^__^

I LOL at him in general. Especially his hair. Come to think of it, I LOL at all of the PRiS' cast's hair. You could always tell who was going to be the centre of the episode because their hair would be the most elaborate.
